Caged Pit Bull Who Lived A Horrible Life As Trophy Was Nearly Starved To Death
(DogFull.Com) This is TinTin. When TinTin got sick, his owner took him to a vet in Bali, Indonesia. His owner never came back for him. Now, you would think that being in the hands of a person who has dedicated their lives to caring for animals that TinTin would have been taken care of. He wasn’t.
TinTin was placed in a kennel and ignored. He wasn’t fed or cared for at all. Just look at the condition he is in.The director of Bali Dog Adoption and Rehabilitation Center (BARC), Ebony Owens, thinks that because the vet wasn’t getting any money from TinTin’s owner, nothing was being done to help TinTin.
Ebony got a message from someone who had seen TinTin and was concerned.
BARC rushed over to help. From the looks of him, TinTin didn’t have much time left.
At another veterinarian (the kind that actually cares about animals), TinTin was given IV fluids and food.
Blood tests didn’t reveal anything significant – although he did have a mild infestation of blood parasites carried by ticks.
TinTin’s main health issue? He was starving. Sadly, TinTin is just one of many dogs that are kept as a trophy in Bali, Indonesia.
Western dogs are seen as symbols of power and wealth.
Unfortunately, once the dogs arrive in Bali, the people who bought them don’t know how to take care of them properly.
And some veterinarians don’t either. Most ‘trophy’ dogs are kept in cages.
BARC is working to change that by saving dogs. Check out TinTin now! A healthy (and happy) boy!
Share away, people.
