After being thrown 30 feet into the Los Angeles River canal, a brave dog made an incredible recovery despite his atrocious injuries.

Volunteers from L.A. On Cloud 9, an organization that helps homeless animals, found a dog in the Los Angeles River, shaking and crying from pain.

He was in terrible condition after being beaten and thrown into the river and left there for days.

The volunteers immediately took him to the Hope For Paws rescue center in Los Angeles, where he was treated and washed.

His injuries, which included a severed foot, were critical, and he was severely malnourished.

However, the small pup was not alone in his journey to recovery. A kindhearted volunteer stayed by his side through his treatment and surgery, and named him Jordan.

Thanks to the remarkable effort of volunteers and rescuers, and to Jordan’s incredible bravery, his story did not end there. He was taken to a loving foster home, where he made human and animal friends.

Despite the unimaginable c.r.u.e.l.t.y that he had endured, he shared his growing joy and affection with his new companions. But most importantly, he regained the biggest thing he had lost—hope.

Today, Jordan is an unstoppable and energetic dog who doesn’t let his past or his old scars hold him back!

Watch the video below to see Jordan’s inspiring rescue and recovery, even after vets claimed his survival as a miracle.
