Loyal Dog Given Up by Former Family Walks 20 Miles – Twice – to Find Them Again
When a sweet dog’s family moved away and couldn’t keep her, she left her current home and walked 20 miles away to find them. She missed them so much she did this twice before the Seminole Humane Society stepped in to help.
The animal shelter wrote:
“Let us tell you the story of Cathleen. Cathleen is precious and her original family loved her very much. But they moved into a home in town where they couldn’t keep her.”
“So they gave her to someone in Prague a few months ago. Cathleen has traveled TWICE from Prague (about a 20 mile trip) and returned to her family in Seminole.”
“Her heart wants to be with them but they cannot keep her. We have now stepped in to assist Cathleen on her next journey.”
“Cathleen is a six year old Great Pyrenees mix. She is humble, kind and passive. Sweet and loves food. She is healthy, house broken, doesn’t pull on a leash and loves to be around children.”
“Cathleen has a calm temperament and wouldn’t hurt a fly. She does great with other dogs. We are looking for an inside home for Cathleen with a fenced yard.”
“Someone who has patience and is seeking a passive doggie.”
They shared a video of her in her kennel, and it’s hard not to fall in love with her expressive face!
Well, it seems that Cathleen’s loyal heart did not go unnoticed. If fact, it won her a home just four days after her story was shared by Seminole Humane Society. They announced that she was adopted by a forever family who matched with her special criteria and will be moving to Texas.
Congratulations to Cathleen and her new family. We’re wishing her all the best and hope she falls in love with her new family and never wants to leave.
